Farmers, Fishers, Hunters & Gatherers: The Four Who Inspire My Menu
Every dish at Four by Brother Luck begins long before it hits the kitchen. It starts with four providers who inspire everything I create: the farmer, the fisherman, the hunter, and the gatherer.
The farmer brings the harvest—the corn, the peppers, the squash that define our region.
The fisherman offers life from the rivers and lakes, fresh and honest.
The hunter reminds us of tradition, bringing game that reflects our rugged landscapes.
The gatherer brings the wild—berries, herbs, and roots that make every dish unique.
These four people are the unsung heroes of Southwestern cuisine. They shape my menus as the seasons change, and they give me the chance to tell the story of the Four Corners with authenticity.
This fall, you’ll see new dishes on our menu that highlight their work—like masa-fried quail with prickly pear reduction, and anasazi beans paired with nixtamal cream.
Our menu changes because the land changes. And that’s the story we want every guest to taste.
